Advised counsel to the Quechan Nation in Glamis Gold v. USA, an NAFTA arbitrationconducted under the ICSID(AF) Rules.

 

Provided an expert opinion in 2010 to Physicians for a Smoke Free Canada, concerning an ICSID arbitration launched by Philip Morris International against the Republic of Honduras, under the Switzerland-Uruguay Investment Protection Treaty. Subsequently participated in meetings with Uruguayan Cabinet Ministers, and provided testimony before the Health Committee of the General Assembly of Uruguay, to convince officials how they could successfully dispute the claim.
