Colm Brannigan has over twenty-five years of experience in alternative dispute resolution methods including mediation, med-arb and arbitration in many types of disputes, including commercial, technology & AI, condominium, construction, real estate, new home warranty, estates, small business succession, partnerships, shareholders agreements and general civil litigation.
Colm is an acknowledged leader in the use of Online Dispute Resolution in Canada and the integration of AI into ADR practice.
Colm’s recent focus has been on developing and implementing integrated med-arb processes. These processes offer the flexibility of mediation, coupled with the assurance of an outcome through arbitration if mediation alone is not successful in resolving the dispute.
Colm is a recognized leader in the field of Online Dispute Resolution and the use of Artificial Intelligence in ADR. He is the co-author of ODR Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, the first Canadian book on the topic. He is also a recipient of the ADR Institute of Ontario’s STAR Award for his contributions to the field.
Colm is a well-known ADR trainer and a frequent speaker at webinars, conferences, and continuing education programs. He has designed ADR processes for federal and provincial governments and has been a part-time instructor in ADR at the Faculty of Law, Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
