Professional experience:
Andrew Cochran is a partner in the Valuation, Modelling & Economic Advisory group at EY, based in Toronto, Ontario, and is the leader of EY’s Litigation Support Services practices in Ontario and Manitoba.
Mr. Cochran has significant experience acting as an expert in determining the fair market value of a business and quantifying financial and economic losses for businesses and individuals, and has appeared on multiple occasions before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Court of Queen’s Bench of Manitoba, and the Land Value Appraisal Commission of Manitoba. Mr. Cochran has also acted as both an arbitrator and mediator on business valuation matters.
Mr. Cochran was identified as a Future Leader in Who’s Who Legal’s 2018 Financial Advisory and Valuation list under both the Expert Witnesses and Quantum of Damages categories.

- Arbitrator, Commercial Real Estate Holding Company. Mr. Cochran acted as an arbitrator in a shareholder dispute regarding the fair market value of a holding company invested in commercial and residential real estate as well as raw land.
- Mediator, Casino. Mr. Cochran acted as a mediator in regards to a shareholder and tax dispute pertaining to the fair market value of a casino.
- Expert, Private Arbitration, Solar Power Industry. Mr. Cochran appeared on a matter in regards to a shareholder dispute regarding the fair market value of an early stage solar energy company.
- Expert, Mediation, Business Process Outsourcing Company. Mr. Cochran was involved in a mediation regarding the fair market value of a minority shareholder’s interest in a business process outsourcing business.
- Expert, Mediation, Sound Systems Manufacturer. Mr. Cochran was involved in a mediation regarding the fair market value of a convertible preferred shareholder interest in a business which manufactures sound systems.

- Expert, Soraya v. Claron Technology Inc., 2016 ONSC 6900. Mr. Cochran appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice to testify in a shareholder dispute related to the fair market value of an early stage technology company.
- Expert, Saputo Inc. et al v. Dare Holdings et al, 2012 ONSC 4981. Mr. Cochran appeared on a matter which went before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice regarding a shareholder dispute pertaining to the fair value of a confectionary company.
- Katz v. Babkat Inc., 2011 MBQB 276. Mr. Cochran appeared before the Court of Queen’s Bench of Manitoba on a matter relating to a shareholder oppression remedy involving the quantification of losses due to bonding issues and the estimation of value of a construction company.
